Workers & Organized Labor.
Rep. Epps fights for stronger union rights, higher wages, strengthening workers’ protections, and supporting our local businesses over large corporations.
Every worker deserves the right to be represented by a union, and deserves not just a minimum wage, but a thriving wage. Workers deserve paid family and medical leave, paid new parent leave, and meaningful access to a secure retirement. Rep. Epps has stood with striking workers, rallied to celebrate collective bargaining wins, and is the child of a 29-year AFA-CWA member.
Rep. Epps is proud to have been endorsed by AFL-CIO CO, SEIU Colorado, SEIU Local 105, COWINS, CWA, teachers unions (AFT, CEA, DCTA) Southwest Carpenters, and more. Her campaign has been certified by Colorado’s Political Workers Guild.
Selected labor bills and legislation supporting workers sponsored by Rep. Epps includes:
HB24-1008 Wage Claims Construction Industry Contractors (Governor vetoed.)
HB24-1260 Prohibition Against Employee Discipline (Governor vetoed.)
HB24-1030 Railroad Safety Requirements
HB23-1118 Fair Workweek Employment Standards
