Housing & Transit.
Housing
Rep. Epps knows housing is a human right, and understands that housing/land use are matters of statewide concern, particularly while Colorado is facing a serious deficit in necessary housing supply. Rep. Epps has worked hard to protect renters of all ages, lower property taxes for homeowners, and make housing more affordable, accessible, and attainable across Colorado.
The corporate landlord lobby is one of the largest barriers to making affordable housing accessible to all Coloradans.
Unlike her 2022 & 2024 campaign opponents, Rep. Epps will never accept donations from apartment associations, the very groups exacerbating housing unaffordability.
Transit
Movement is a fundamental right, and Coloradans deserve affordable and consistent access to their families, workplaces, schools, and Colorado’s breathtaking outdoors. In order to provide better public transportation, Colorado must invest in transit agencies with true community input. Rep. Epps supports green infrastructure policies that will reduce dependence on cars, maximize safety, and improve ease of transit for cyclists and pedestrians.
